Scans don't seem to work and won't cancel

Quick/Full Scan run but never show results nor end; won't cancel either, Force Stop does work. I've let each of the scans run in excess of 12 hours each without them producing any results. I did do a LiveUpdate prior to running the scans. Running iMac 2020 Catalina 15.10.6. Norton 360 Deluxe, Ver 8.5.10 build 9. I have a file named NortonLifeLock Support Data.zip but this forum does not allow .zip files to be uploaded, so I only included the .txt file that was within that .zip file. Also, in this forum problem report, when identifying that it's a Mac product, there is no forum for Norton 360 for Mac, which I believe used to be called Norton for Mac. Therefore, the labels that are relevant for the post aren't exactly accurate as the product is slightly different.

I believe this is now resolved.

Tried both scans today and they both work just fine. I can't explain what changed. No indications on the screen of anything updated or anything unusual. Magic.
