I did reboot after each update of my definitions. Rebooted and updated htis morning and still not working. I have Windows 8 and the last version of Norton 360 verified. All scans dont work and none error appear

I run Norton Autofix . They did not find any issues. My N360 version is 21.2.0.38. N360 is the only security product installed.

And you never had a different security product installed which perhaps wasn't completely removed before installing N360?

my computer is new and has had no other security program.
In the tasks box if you press scans, appears dialog to select the type of scan, if you select any type of scan, the dialog box disappears and returns to the box tasks. The same goes for check security story. Others task run OK

As there may have been some corruption of your product, I'd recommend that you run the Norton Removal and Reinstall tool which will get you a fresh installation. Here is the link: www.norton.com/nrnr
Before running it, please read the "Before you begin" section.
After running NRnR, run LiveUpdate manually a few times, rebooting as requested, until no updates are available. When finished reboot your system even if not prompted.
