Norton detected a virus and deleted it earlier today, but ever since, Scans now stall at SecurityRisk.FlushDNS. These scan freezes happened with an eralier version of NAV, so I decided to do the upgrade to 21.0.2.1, and the problem still persists.
Can any body shed some light on what may be the problem?
My apologies for the duplicate thread...there is already a thread on this topic, as many other Norton customers are also reporting this very same problem...
I changed the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/Pv4) settings to
DNS server and addresses"
Preferred DNS server: 198.153.192.50
Alternate DNS server: 198.153.194.50
And the problem went away, Changing back to obtaining the DNS server address automatically made the problem com back!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Norton customers should not have to change their Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/Pv4) settings in order for their Norton product to work correctly, no?
What about those Norton customers who are not tech savvy enough to know that this might be the solution to this problem?
