New issue. Norton is now stating that there is no internet connection when doing a scan while my VPN is on. This just started. I use NordVPN and have never encountered this until yesterday. WTF Norton. Are you now blocking competitors VPN IPs?
This is happening on version 22, and version 26.

It is not just competitors VPN that Norton does not play well with. Many Norton features and web pages will not work even if you are using Norton’s VPN.
The reason for the sudden change is that the IP’s detected get updated in whatever database is used to keep that information. So if a VPN provider changes to a new set of IP addresses you may not get any blocking. But some time later, those new IP’s get added to the database and the block is back in effect.
Well, version 26 is fixed, but now version 22 gives me the error message even if VPN is turned off. Since I have been getting angry emails from Norton because I turned off live update to keep version 22, which is the last best version BTW, I guess they are getting ready to terminate that version. If they do, I will say goodbye to Norton finally and they can eat my poo.
