Seems that somehow I picked up the bugger as well on 12/22/2013 while browsing the internet. It must've auto-downloaded then installed and left my d/l folder or was never there. I got no alert that it was even downloading or installing. Messed with my browsing and internet and router setup by redirecting or blocking what I wanted to search for. I managed to do a little research and then hunted through my system. Here's how I got rid of the dang thing:
1) Located Scorpion Saver in Program files. Uninstalled.
2) Check all browsers Extensions and Search Engines, Remove any Adpeak/ScorpionSaver related add-ons.
3) Noticed creation date of "Level Quality Watcher" folder in directory containing a 32 and 64 bit versions. Had to go to safe Mode, making sure they were not running in Task Manager or Services and Startup and Delete the folder and files.
4) While in Safe Mode, Edit Registry to remove all keys related to Scorpion Saver, Level Quality Watcher, and Adpeak.
5) Restart computer and Run Norton Power Eraser.
6) Run Norton Registry Cleaner for a Clean Registry.
7) Rebooted again. All was well. I created a current Restore Point.
8) Note: I had tried System Restore before all this and seems it messed with that as well. Couldn't go back to a point before my system was infiltrated with Scorpion Saver. Nasty Thing!
