Screen reader: Major issues

Hello, I recently purchased Norton antivirus and am encountering severe issues with the desktop application (i.e., the control panel and ‘MyNorton’). I am an individual who is legally blind and thus rely on a screen reader – Jobs Access with Speech (JAWS) – to use my computer and other electronic devices. When I open either application, the application will not allow my screen reader to speak particular commands. For instance, when turning the VPN on, my screen reader only says ‘button’ without any other information. Additionally, if I wish to adapt the control panel settings, my screen reader will only speak ‘check’ without telling me what the action will do. This is a critical issue that one must address because individuals such as myself are entitled to receive equal access to information. Oddly, the only ‘accessible’ portion of the panel is the advanced function. JAWS will read all the advanced settings and their actions – except the third option from the top – so I am confused about why this section works with JAWS but not the other areas such as Scans or Settings. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to your work to fix these issues.

Thank you very much for escalating this critical issue. I look forward to the Norton antivirus accessibility improvements.

I have escalated your issue to try to get you some help.
