SD Card Detected Notification (Second One)

Hi there, I read the first thread about the "SD Card detected notification", and I have the same problem. What I want to add is, I checked the logs, and every time this notification appears (SD Card detected, tap to scan), and I tap and scan, the log goes like this: "Malware scan ran due to SD Card mount". So what I want to ask is, can this be happening because Norton thinks that the SD Card is being unmounted and mounted again continuously? Thank you.

Thank you for your time, have a good one.

Can't your technical stuff read these complaints and fix the bugs, errors, or whatever the cause is?

These forums are mainly user to user help. We volunteer our time to try to help others from our experience with the Norton products.

Did you at least look at the link I gave? Did you try un mounting, shutting the device down, removing and then replacing the SD card. The connectors for any electronics can become a little dirty over time and just need to be removed and reinserted  to get a clean connection again.

If it is a Norton bug, I would have expected to see more than one report of this happening. Yours is the only current thread I have seen on this issue. The other was from over 3 years ago.

If you have tried re installing your SD card and still see the same issue, you can submit logs to Norton.   Open the 360 app and tap the three bars at the top left. Tap on Settings > General, and scroll down to the Logging section. Turn on Enable Debug Log. Then continue using your device until your issue happens again. After the issue has happened, go back to the Debug Log settings and then tap on Send Error Report with log files. In your submission please include "forum 'your username' " in the Case ID section of the report. Also include a link to this thread. You can turn off logging when you have sent the logs.

If you do send logs, please let me know and I'll notify my contacts to look for them.

Thanks for the help but I am sure it's not about my device or the SD card, I am using the files on the SD card for hours, like movies, music, tv shows and games, and never having a problem, and the notification keeps on appearing while I am using these files, so it's impossible that the card is being unmounted and mounted again. This is definitely a problem with Norton, like told in the first thread. Can't your technical stuff read these complaints and fix the bugs, errors, or whatever the cause is?

My suggestion to turn off the SD scan was not meant as a permanent solution. just as a diagnostic step to see if the messages would stop.

Here is some information from   anyrecover dot com on an SD card that keeps unmounting.  So it may not be a Norton issue, but an issue with your device and or the SD card.

I am using Samsung Galaxy J7 Core and Android 9. No I don't turn off or restart my device before this happens, it happens whenever it wants to. I simply turned off Norton notifications, so I don't see that annoying message anymore. But next year I am switching to something else, because I wouldn't expect such a problem from Norton. And your suggestion is annoying too, so what, do you want me to ignore the SD Card while scanning the phone? This is a paid version, not freeware. Thank you.

What device and OS version are you using?

Do you turn off or restart your device just before this happens? That could trigger a re mount of the SD drive. If you do not want to have this constant message, try turning of SD card scan in 360 Settings.
