What is the best alternative to Norton Security that:

1. Does not try to foist ever more (less than optimal) functionality for substantially increased costs

2. Provides easy access to CHAT features

3. Does not have VPN block access to sites (reachable without it being on)

4. Double its subscription fees with few discernible benefits

5. Provide effective support worthy of its price

You would do better asking this on a web site that is not for a specific product. Most users here believe in the Norton product. Worts and all.
