I got a virus today, spent all day trying to fix it i love nortons but she let me down today. I only have the version that came with comcast. I got the security center virus from a game web site, It disabled nortons, Internet explorer, task manager, and who knows what else. I had to shut down computer reastart bring up task manager before the worm started while everthings loading, Disabled thxyjpluqiw.exe wich alowed me to use programs again. I then had to put in my cd that came from comcast enter my id number and reinstall there software wich failed ever time but got my internet connection running again. i was then able to go to a site [i dont know if i can say this on here but for the little guy im gona do it] downloaded Malwarebytes anti maleware. It scaned my computer and removed 57 infected files my computer seems fine now. I love nortons used it for ever but this thing is not stoped or fixed by it. Well hope this does somebuddy good its been a long bad day.
The security center virus looks like the real deal it seems like its windows prompting you that you got a virus but its a scam.
It makes you run a scan and buy some buddys fake anti virus software, Just to get your credit card info. If you did this you might want to call your bank and close that account.
