Rather major concern. I have received emails which appear to be from Norton (I am in Brazil and Norton will only send emails to me in Brazilian Portuguese, which I am unable to understand - a fact which I find odd, for a major tech company) and which directed me to take certain account related activity. I followed what I believed I was being requested to do....only to receive ensuing emails which said I had requested actions which I had not. When I attempted, multiple times, to contact live chat I was unable (....screens refusing to open in Norton and opening for split second then flicking to another) then, when I finally got to live chat and got a case number and clicked on chat now, it refused to open, repeatedly.
Is there some major problem with Norton, currently? I have security concerns about what has happened and whether the Norton site is safe....there are no problems whatsoever with any other site I use.
My thanks for your time and any advice you are able to furnish....concerned and wish to get in touch with live help somehow?!
Again you are most welcome, and THANK YOU for correcting the solution for us. We will have the forums development team have a look at the forums settings where more than one solution was allowed and ask for them to correct is accordingly. If we can help in the future please ask. Someone willing to help is always around.
You did, of course, go beyond the above and answer the second element of my concerns....but if people read the post they will discover that for themselves.
Only mark the suggestion post that actually solved the issue for you. You can remove the one that is a duplicate solution to accomplish that. Thanks in advance,
Oops....my apologies for throwing a spanner in the works.
Shall I action the suggested alteration, to leave only the answer flagged as a solution the one to the first Q I raised (the one in title line) as a solution?
I can, of course, pick one, but both answer different issues....which I wrongly posed in the same post. Each of your answers is a solution to a question raised. Would you prefer me to leave the initial solution to the first Q, from the title-line, rather than the ensuing exchange?
@H.O.W There are two selected solutions for the thread, unfortunately there should only be one. Could you please remove one of the solutions to the thread so others will have a clear indication of what the solution is? Thanks in advance.
Are you going to this site to request support assistance? https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/contact?inid=hho_n.com_supp_ultimate_device_contact
Also, clear your web browser cache and cookies. Close it and reopen to recheck for the issue still being present. If you are using the Norton or any other VPN disable it and retry again. A VPN will cause sites not to open.
Test with a different browser if you have one installed to see if the issue is with it as well. If its not we will need to ask for assistance from the Norton team.
Many thanks....the email address was on the list, so that is resolved.
Still in the dark about why live-chat will not launch its window and about why a number of pages which I seek on Norton's site flash up for a second (less than a second) then flick to something else; including a a page which is totally blank white, other than having Norton in top left (as I look at it) and Help in top right....but if I click help it just takes me round in circles to the same page. As live-chat would not launch I went to phone help to resolve the issue about which I was enquiring, but remain concerned at the behaviour of the Norton site. Any thoughts? (I am experiencing no issues with any other site/domain).
