Security: "Vulnerable" or "At risk" warning recurring occurrence

Hello,

I have a recurring "Security" message: "Vulnerable".

Live Update launches takes 5-10 minutes to complete displays "up to date" but persists in displaying "Vulnerable"

I've done what the FAQ says: uninstall Norton 360 and switch to Remove Norton MacFiles.

It keeps happening

Online support took control and did the same thing: failed.

Norton claims the problem is known and being resolved... at least for 3 weeks (my subscription...)

QUESTIONS:

  • has anyone solved the bug?
  • while I'm waiting for Norton 360 to be fixed or for my Norton subscription/replacement to end, can I just run Live Update manually and ignore "vulnerable"? because I'm not going to spend hours uninstalling Norton 360 3 times a week and switching to Remove Norton MacFiles.

Thanks for your help

PS

  • MacOS Mojave 10.14.6 (18G9323)
  • Norton 360 Norton 8-7-5
  • I have run a free trial of Norton Anti-Virus which worked very smoothly, hence my purchase. But when I bought it, Norton gave me Norton 360 instead , which seems to be another beast that also slows down my Mac.
