I have been receiving eleven security warnings titled "intrusion attempt by api.opencandy.com was blocked" since I installed the newest version of the VDSC video editor (I downloaded the setup from the official website). I know that Open Candy is some type of malware, nevertheless, Norton's reaction was somewhat excessive. Throughout the installation, warnings popped up urging me to use Norton Eraser. I ignored them, having had similar issues evey time I tried to install the video editor. Strangely, the warnings continued long after the installation was finished. As suggested by Norton, I finally used the Eraser tool. It didn't find anything. Aditionally, Norton crashed when I tried to open the security history. I suppose the problem lies with Norton, but I am not really sure what to make of this. Is there anything I should do in response to these security warnings? Or is this simply another instance of Norton overreacting?
