Ich habe seit Monaten kein Update mehr für meine Andoid-Geräte mehr erhalten. In den Monaten zuvor kam wengistens einmal alle 2 Wochen ein Definitionsupdate. Die Virendefinitionen sind jetzt doch total veraltet, oder täusche ich mich? Kommt noch einmal ein Update?

Norton never announced this change of focus on downloaded definitions. Just like on PC, it just evolved. If a device is not connected to the internet, then there is no new threats that could be downloaded/installed. So nothing to scan. As long as the device is connected, the online definitions are available and being used for any scans.
If this is now common practice, then at least the users would have heard !

The latest versions of the Norton mobile products do not rely as much on downloaded definitions. Like the PC products, they rely on real time online definitions for scans. That is why definition updates do not get sent as often as they used to. This is normal behaviour now.
Die neuesten Versionen der mobilen Norton-Produkte basieren weniger auf heruntergeladenen Definitionen. Wie die PC-Produkte stützen sie sich bei Scans auf Online-Definitionen in Echtzeit. Aus diesem Grund werden Definitionsaktualisierungen nicht mehr so oft gesendet wie früher. Dies ist jetzt normales Verhalten.
Hallo @bibbes, mittlerweile ist bereits wieder ein neues Produktupdate ausgeliefert worden ( siehe meinen Thread ) mit der Versionsnr. 5.8.0.5672, steht im Google Play Store zum Download bereit und wird Dein Problem sicher lösen. Habe bei der Produktbeurteilung am Smartphone die Anregung gegeben, daß bei den Virendef. das Aktualisierungsdatum ( wie früher ) dazugeschrieben werden sollte. Ist von der Programmierung ohne weiters möglich.

Die neueste Version von Norton Mobile Security Virus Definitions ist bereits installiert.
Liveupdate und die Uhrzeit ! Ein Aktualisierungsdatum der Virusdef. ( wie früher ) ist nicht mehr angegeben !!

Die neueste Version für Norton 360 ( OS - Android ) hat die Versionsnummer: 5.7.0.5665. Letztes aktuelles Produkt - Update vom 20. April 2021. Die Virendef. sind auf den neuesten Stand.
