I recently purchased a Windows 7 computer that came pre-installed with Norton Internet Security 2009. I have remaining licenses for Norton 360 from a previous computer, so I have been attempting to uninstall Norton Internet Security 2009 in order to install Norton 360. Unfortunately, I'm not having any luck with this. I have tried uninstalling through control panel and using the Norton uninstall tool downloaded from the Norton website. Using both methods, the uninstall appears to work, but when it reboots my computer it gives me an error upon restarting and never fully loads. The only way I'm able to re-start my computer then is through safe mode, and then I need to restore the system to a previous setting for it function properly again. After the restore, Norton Internet Security is now no longer working, but still shows as being installed on the system.
Any advice on what I can do it uninstall in such away that my computer is still functional?
Thanks for any help you can provide,
Nick
