Serious Problem with Google Chrome and Norton Utilities

I have Norton Utilities 15.0 installed on my computer.  Every time I try to do a scan, when the scan gets to Google Chrome, it shuts the scan down, so it can never complete the operation.  I de-installed Google Chrome from my computer, and then did a complete restart.  However, when I tried to again scan with Norton Utilities 15.0, I got the same result:  When the scan reached the supposedly removed Google Chrome, it again shut Norton Utilities down.  Can anyone give me some help?  Please keep your instructions simple and ste-by-step; I am far from the world's most computer-literate person.

Having a similar problem with Norton Ghost.  It takes 5 minutes or more to open and report (vs. < 1 minute before Google Chrome) and does not seem to be able to get beyond initializing when I try to backup.  I have not tried uninstalling Google Chrome yet.

Tried uninstalling Google Chrome.  The problem remains.

Hello Everyone,

Can you please specify what scan you are trying to run? Screen shots would help as well if you can get them on here.

Cheers,

Skreddy

My understanding of my problem with Ghost is fully stated in my two previous messages.  I understand that you are not fully responsible for incompatibilities with other programs, but I thought maybe you would have run into this before... since Google Chrome and Ghost are probably often combined on the same computer.  Let me know if you do find a solution.

However, in the meantime, I have switched to another backup system and it is working just fine.  Since I have quit Ghost because of this problem, it might be useful to Norton to look into it.  But if no one else has the problem, I guess the issue will end here.  Hope you can assist the Norton Utilities folks.  Thanks for your time.
