I cannot log into account to delete the program off my son's computer. I need some help. I go online and keep getting the dog with the opps screen. To be honest it irritates me every time. Why can't you post info on your homepage that it's not working?

It locks up. I get a blank screen that says to enter email and password but no place to enter them. This is on my son's computer and I cannot add time for reasons I have no idea. I had to create a second user to get into the computer. When I go on my computer to delete his account. NF locks up and I cannot get in. Is there a physical way of dropping the program in the trash bin?

Please remove the network cable first then try to uninstall/reinstall Norton Family to see if these help.

 

step 1, remove your network cable

step 2, uninstall NF.

I do not have a network cable. But I shut off the wi fi. Still nothing. I get the same screen. "Must type email / password to delete" and there is no place to type. I have three computers and no will let me on my online account. Is the system down?

Uninstall Norton Family Client

  • Restart computer, before windows logo comes up press and hold F8, Windows will ask to boot into Safe Mode; choose Safe Mode without networking.
  • When safe mode Windows comes up, go to control panel.

 

On Windows XP:

  1. Click on Start
  2. Select “Control Panel”
  3. Click on “Add or Remove Programs”

 

On Windows Vista / Windows 7:

  1. Click on Start
  2. Select “Control Panel”
  3. Click on “Uninstall a program"

 

On Windows 8:

  1. Click on apps
  2. Select “Control Panel”
  3. Click on “Uninstall a program"

 

  • Select Programs and Features.
  • In the list of currently installed programs, select the Norton Family, and then click Remove or Uninstall
  • Follow the on-screen instructions.
  • When the uninstall completes, restart the computer.
