Setting the time of day when Norton Anti-Virus runs a scan

I recently purchased Norton Anti-VIrus 2011 for a single computer.  How do I set the time of day when it runs scans so it doesn't run a scan during work hours, but say at  3:00 AM in the morning instead.  Right now it appears to be scheduled to run during "idle times", whatever that means?  I also don't want it to run when I reboot my computer.

Also as a comment, this is a very poor product for detecting malware.  Even though I had malware on my computer, all it found during a full system scan was tracking cookies, which is basically a joke.  I had to download anti-malware for free from the internet and it found all 7 instances of corrupted files/registry keys and quarantined the corrupt files/keys, all for FREE.

This product has been disappointing so far to say the least.

The only reply so far does not answer my question.  I need specifics, not generalities.  Where do I click on this poorly designed user interface to schedule manual scans at 3 AM?  You would think this would be a simple click and drop-down menu, but no, I have to wade through a lot of stuff and still can't locate how to do this?

Also, is there no FREE phone support for at least a month (I would hope) after buying this product where I can get an answer from a technical expert over the phone?  I don't see why I would have to pay immediately after purchase to get an answer to a simple question which would not be necessary if the user interface had been designed better.

Also, I still don't know if Norton automatically runs some type of scan everytime I reboot?  I need an expert to answer this question.

1.  There should be a drop down arrow beside "Scan Now" on the main interface.

2.  Click on that to bring up a screen that has "schedule" to the right of full system scan

3.  Set the time that you want it to scan.

4.  Turn off automatic scanning in your settings.

Note:  If you have not allowed it to complete its first full system scan, or if you have been preventing a full system scan from completing, it will continue to try to finish it.  Allow it to complete the scan before turning it off and setting a schedule.

Customer Service Chat is always available and can be had by clicking "support" top right hand corner, or this link.

There is a default 10 minute delay aftyer boot before automatic tasks kick in, after which time it may try to force a scan if you haven't allowed it to complete its assorted tasks.

You may also want to turn off community watch and/or other functions that you consider unnecessary to reduce scans.  Not all of them can be scheduled, I believe.
