Hi,

It's a Huawei b260a
It doesn't have any way of entering alternate DNS servers in the control panal as far as I can see.
Password protection for the Norton DNS client would be great in my opinion.
Anyone?
Hi TommyJ,
You should use a password-protected administrator account so that only you have the necessary privileges to make system changes, such as DNS settings. Your kids should have standard or limited user accounts which prevent them from accessing or modifying system files and settings.
Hi TommyJ,
Thanks for your feedback. You can do as suggested by our guru. Or you can also configure it manually at the router and trap all traffic on port 53. That way all devices connected to the home router will get the same content filtering.

Thanks sendofjive, That's a good solution.
My router doesn't seem to have the functionality to enter alternate DNS settings.
The standard user account option I will use.
Thanks
Hi TommyJ,
You're welcome. I checked documentation for your router online, and it does look like there is no way to configure DNS preferences in it - weird. Kids should use less privileged accounts anyway as it protects your computer from some of the mischief they may get into if they try to download something iffy.
