Hi,
After upgrading to newer version of Norton (22.5.2.15 now) I lost ability to control Norton settings or day-to-day work on standard user account in Windows 7 x64. This is a real problem for me cause I use standard user account for security reasons on my private laptop. I have another account with admin privileges that I use when needed using UAC but Norton seems to be ignoring UAC and run-as-administrator function. Before upgrading I was able to turn on non-administrative access to Norton and change settings like disabling protection, firewall, restoring files from quarantine etc.
This is a real pain in my ass cause from time to time Norton gives me false-positives and removes perfectly good files from my computer just because those files were too new or because only a few people were using them. Also I added some custom settings to my Norton firewall that in some cases are interfering with other programs. Before the upgrade I could just disable the firewall for 5 min and everything worked OK. Now I cannot do that.
Please restore the option to use settings on standard user account (can be disabled by default) or at least allow users on standard user account to change settings after putting Norton password. In present configuration I'm not able to work with Norton and will have to get rid of it and I don't want to do that because I used Norton products since 2010 and I really liked them.
Thank you for your input and consideration.
