I have a phone connected to a USB port on my computer for VOIP communication - it worked excellent for over a year before Norton was installed. I didn't have antivirus software before because the laptop was primarily for supporting the phone., not surfing the web. That's changed so now I want to be protected by antivirus software and use the phone. I presume that because the phone uses the Internet, Norton is intercepting and checking packets, which may be the cause of some of the loss of clarity I used to have.
Does Norton Antivirus have an impact on VOIP communications and are there settings that would eliminate this interference?
thanks in advance
