Several (Failed) Attempts to Try/Upgrade/Buy Norton Mobile Security!

Dear Friends,
We have a company holding several Norton360 licenses, using them on our company computers. We are also pleased with Norton Identity Safe (Android version too). It works like a charm. We are also willing to buy Norton Mobile Security to secure a few mobile (android) devices we have.

However we fail to buy/upgrade/try, etc. since the current (i.e. V3.8.6.1520) (and previous) version(s) fails to upgrade this specific motorola xoom 2 device, complaining about date and time of the device (which are correct) and attempting to reach a website which uses a security certificate that are not accepted by our OS.

The device is a Motorola Xoom 2 device, with Android 4.0.4 on it. The OS interface is localized to Turkish.

A colleague of mine was contacted by Norton about this, advising him to "Try to run LiveUpdate first & then try to upgrade. If the problem persists, please post it on the Norton Forums: http://norton.com/nms_support with additional information on your device. "
However, we tried the solution and as s/he states the problem persists.

What should we do?

Best wishes,

Sorry for the delay in answering.

We would try the solution and post the result here.

Hi All,

Clearing Data did not work. So first I cleared data then uninstalled the app and reinstalled it.

When I reinstall it, it came in trial mode.

When I see it running, we simply bought it.

Now it perfectly works.

I know you are not (commercial) support here, but in other norton products we may install (for example Norton 360) in 3 devices (computers in this case). Is it possible to use this license in multiple mobile devices or should we buy new licenses for each devices?

Best Wishes and Thank you for this product!....

If you purchase Norton 360 Multi Device version it covers any combination of 5 devices. PCs, Android phones and tablets and Apple phones and tablets.

If you have already purchased Mobile Security, you might be able to contact Norton Support to assist you in getting the appropriate products and licenses.   www.norton.com/chat
