After an interesting discussion with a good friend, I thought I'd post about this "taboo" topic: sexual harassment on the web.

I could write a very long post about this issue, but for now the links I've included and these four rough pointers should help:
1) Sexual harassment can happen offline and online to anyone.
2) If it happens to you: it is NOT your fault!
3) Keep any inappropriate messages sent by the other party/parties, that way you have got proof.
4) Do NOT be silent. Tell someone you feel you can trust.
And for speakers of German, here's a study - conducted by the University of Zurich (Switzerland) in 2013 - on online sexual harassment of children and teens:

Finally, I'm interested in knowing if any of you have experienced such harassment anywhere on the web, or if you know someone who has.
Thoughts, comments, experiences - it would be nice to get a discussion started and, in this case, contribute to a "detabooization" of what I feel is a very important topic.
