Should i disconnect the pen driver for reboot to fix virsu issue?

Hello!

 

Sometime when I scan my pen driver Norton Internet security 2012 detect there're some malware. After scan finished Norton display "In order to remove those malware, you have to reboot the PC". My question is before reboot the PC, should I disconnect the pen drive from my PC or keep it connecting? If I connect the pend driver when I rebooting PC those malware inflect my PC? If i disconnect pen driver that malware removal process terminate?
