Running Windows XP Pro - SP2 (will update to SP3 in the near future)
My current subscription with NIS 2009 expires in 2 weeks.
I have already purchased a retail box NIS 2010.
I am trying to decide whether to go thru all the hassle of uninstalling NIS 2009, etc, etc, then installing NIS 2010 or simply utilize my new 2010 subscription number and renew my currently installed NIS 2009.
Other than a revised interface, is there really anything NIS 2010 does that NIS 2009 does not?
If there is a significant betterment with NIS 2010, can someone tell me how to "directly download" the .exe file for the most current version of NIS 2010. I want the file to save on my hard drive as I disconnect from the internet during the uninstall then install process. All the upgrade links want to download and do an immediate install which I do not want to do. Believe current version is 17.5.0.127?
Just to confirm, I assume Norton still recommends a complete uninstall of NIS 2009 before installing NIS 2010, or has that changed so you can do an install over an older version?
Thanks
