Should MS Office install OK without disabling NIS?

I need to install MS Office 2013 Home and Student edition.  It installs by "click-to-run", which means it installs simultaneously as it downloads from the Internet.   I don't want to disable my NAV or software firewall in NIS.   Should it still install OK?
