My subscription is coming up for renewal. A few days ago I began getting daily messages screaming at me to renew. There is no way to turn the d--n things off; they just keep coming.
I'm a senior on fixed income. When my check comes in I pay my bills. I do it on my schedule, not Norton's.
My experience with Norton has been a love-hate relationship from the beginning. I love the effectiveness of their software, I hate their arrogant, demeaning attitude toward their customers.
When did it happen that companies like Norton decided they didn't have to exercise respect for their customers? And what happened to us, that we let them get away with it?
If you give me the service I'm paying for, I'll renew; no questions asked. You don't have to treat me like a dog on a lease; yank it and I'll come to heel and cough up the money whenever you like. Just give me the service I'm paying you for and we'll get along just fine; no obnoxious, demanding daily messages needed.
There is a limit to everything, Norton. First I can't turn off the brainless messages that keep poping up in the last few versions of your software, now I can't turn off the trash you're sending me demanding that I empty my wallet at your convenience.
You're not the only game in town, Norton. I'm checking the reviews to see if there is another company I can do business with.
