Oh…okay…and Silence all notifications…does not stop all Norton background tasks.

@Pippin0 When Norton moved to the 24.xx release more than a year ago that is where the feature Silent Mode was depreciated/removed. I personally miss that feature greatly, especially when gaming. Norton going to FULL SCREEN mode just doesn’t cut that mustard as it was before. To date there is no indication that Norton will or has plans to revisit that feature returning. Keep in mind we Guru’s are not Norton employees, therefore we don’t have access to what, why or when things are done nor will return. I HOPE this feature does return as I said. It is extremely annoying to have my entire screen revert back to the standard desktop while in a game. It doesn’t happen very often but does nevertheless.

Until a user forwards their experience level we have not way of knowing if you are an expert or if this is their first computer. So until we are given that information, we have to start with more generic suggestions.

I didn’t even ask for help. I was commenting to the OP and others in here about spikes. For some reason bjm decided I needed help. I would prefer it if people treated us like we might know something by asking us if we do instead of just assuming.
Unsolicited help is not a problem, it can be ignored. This, however, was just a little over the top, and then very passively aggressive later.
Not me, I can as a user. Norton as the user however …
Norton Community is an open Community.
Norton Community forums/threads are open.
Community members may participate in any forum/thread.
