Silent mode not working

 I chatted today with [Removed] and he removed and re-installed my Norton's because my Silent Mode Settings are not highlighted for me to use. The re-installed version didn't work either to use Silent Mode.  Took 3 hrs of working on my computer today.  Is there a fix to this problem that is much needed?  If so, who do I personally contact at Norton's Support.
