I have been around computers since the Commodore 64 and have entrusted Norton with my security every since they came into existence. Every computer, I owned or own every since, has NAV(past) or NIS on it. Now we come to a new area for Norton, mobile phones. I purchased this app from the Android Market about a month ago. This mourning I turned on my phone to find a lock screen that stated, "Your SIM card has been removed" I can assure you, that did not happen. I put in my code and then rebooted my phone and it came up, "You SIM card has changed" I put in my pass code once again. I did a reboot one more time with the same message. After that all was fine during subsequent reboots. My big question is why did this occur? The message, your SIM card had been removed or changed? Keep my faith in your mobile app by answering my question. Thank you for your time. Verizon HTC Rezound, Android 2.3.4, HTC Sense 3.5.

It is possible that under some circumstances that the device will lock if the SIM card is either unable to load or there is a significant delay in the load of the SIM you can get locked. The product is designed to unlock if it notices that the SIM does eventually load. Is this SIM the one that came with the phone or did you use it from a previous phone? If used before, you might consider getting a new one. If it is the SIM that came with your phone it could have been more coincidental.
I purchased the phone new from Verizon and they installed their SIM card into it at the time of purchase. My phone has a dual core 1.5 Ghz processor. Could it be that it loads too fast for the NMS at times to detect. Note that this all started happening, according to the logs, after the update of NMS. Could this have something to do with it? I take it the update was new viral codes.
Do you have NMS set to scan your SD card? What is the size of your SD card (if you have one)? I doubt it would cause the problem. When the SD card is mounted we will scan it, but the product will account for it. If you see this happen again, from the lock screen choose "report problem". Then send me a private message with your IMEI and I can have someone take a look at the logs that will be submitted. Also, wait a full minute if you do see this happen again as the lock screen should go away eventually. If not, I'll need to know that.
Yes Scan SD Card is and has been checked along with Enable Norton Community Watch. The SD Card is 32GB Class 10 and has been in my phone since the day I bought it. Never removed. My Phone is a couple of months old now. Thanks Erik. Hopefully it was just something with the NMS update, but if it happens again I will do as you have asked.
