Site safety ratings in Chromium browsers

It has got to that renewal time of year again and I will carry on using NIS. It will be my 4th year. I always have a good look at the competition before renewing though and this year I looked at BitDefender Internet Security and KIS. Both very good but I still prefer NIS. However, there is something that both KIS and BIS do that I'd like to see in NIS.

Their browser extension work in browsers other than Google Chrome. I haven't tried all Chromium-based browsers but have tried Comodo Dragon. Both KIS and BIS browser extensions work in that. I think it might follow that they would work with other Chromium browsers too. In short, it seems they could be designing their extensions to work with Chromium in general rather than just Google Chrome. Is there any chance the NIS extensions could be the same? It would mean that site safety ratings would work in all Chromium-based browsers. A desirable feature when using search engines.

BitDefender's extension for site safety ratings on the search engines also works with Opera but I guess that's another request.
