My sons have a laptop which is monitored using Norton Family software. There are four accounts on the computer -- one for my administrative purposes for which only I have the password, one for each son to use for homework and e-mail, and one for gaming. The gaming user is the only one that is supposed to allow access to game sites such as notdoppler.com and minecraft.net. The homework users have gaming sites blocked.
The problem is that Norton seems to get confused and block sites for the wrong user. For example, my son is trying to play games on notdoppler.com (which is specified as an allowed site on the gaming user's profile), and he is being blocked from the site by Norton.
In addition, reporting of activity is inconsistent on the gaming account -- he was on there playing games for at least an hour today, yet after logging off and shutting down the computer, I cannot see any activity or time for the account.
I have already tried reinstalling Norton Family from the download page with no change in behavior.
