My mouse cursor is skipping a lot and it's very annoying. It also jumps down up a line or down to the next one without me touching anything. After reading other help forums I tried fiddling with the mouse settings, but I think this may be a malware or virus problem.

Could it have something to do with that?
I have an hp laptop, and I'm experiencing this cursor problem in internet explorer, microsoft word, and aol email.
