@MRNIGELGWILLIS Here is some information for you to try and resolve this. I believe this may be a setting within Android that is the cause:
AI Overview
To disable the sidebar,
Go to your device’s Settings and search for options like “Sidebar,” “Edge Panel,” or “Smart Sidebar”. The exact term varies by phone manufacturer, so you may need to look in areas like Display or Accessibility settings to find and turn off the specific sidebar feature you want to remove.
Steps to disable a sidebar
- Open Settings: Find and open the “Settings” app on your Android device.
- Search for the feature: Use the search bar within the Settings app to look for terms like:
- “Sidebar”
- “Edge Panel” (common on Samsung devices) * “Smart Sidebar” (common on OnePlus and other devices) * “Taskbar” (on some tablets)
- Find the toggle: Once you find the relevant setting, you’ll see a switch or button to enable or disable the feature.* Turn it off: Tap the switch to turn the sidebar off.
Examples by Manufacturer
- Samsung:Go to Settings > Display and then find and turn off the Edge panels.
- OnePlus:Navigate to Settings > Accessibility & convenience (or a similar menu) and find the Smart Sidebar to disable it.
- Blackview:Go to Settings > Gestures and keys to find and disable the Smart sidebar (or smart window).
- Lenovo:On some devices, you may find it under Settings > Display > Taskbar.

If @SoulAsylum 's post does not help, look at the Accessibility Android Settings for the Accessibility Shortcut icon in newer Android versions, and how to turn it off. It is in Android Settings > Accessibility. Tap on Installed services > Norton 360. Then turn off the option Norton 360 Service Shortcut.
