Vista Home Basic lap top with NIS v21 OK renewed NIS v21 about a month ago. All went well with the subscription renewal. However I read another post on the forums regarding a problem where a user had some older information that autofilled on their renewal process. This got me getting paranoid. Ok more paranoid than usual. So here is what happened. I went through the renewal process and when it came time to pay, it had my credit card information on file. However the expiration date on the card I had on file was expired ( I have the same card/account number but now a newer card expiration date). so the older expiration date was on file when I renewed. The purchase was completed though with a purchase order number given. My subscription status updated showing 365+ days. But Having a panic regarding the expired card date, I went to my credit card account web page and I saw the Norton renewal purchase pending. I went back to my Norton account and put the newer card expiration date. Then a few days after the purchase my credit card website showed the purchase paid. But bei9ng me, I am a bit concerned that somehow Norton filed the purchase with the expired card date and that some how my purchase will be nullified and my protection removed. I know this is more a credit card processing issue than a tech issue on NIS. But when a purchase is made does the vendor (Norton) submit the card expiration date or just the account number? Or did it resubmit it with the correct expiration date. As I said I show current protection and I show that my credit card paid Norton. I know super crazy paranoia, but if someone might know how this process works, it may grant me some relief
