I have 3 systems all running Windows 7 SP1 and NIS 2011. Whenever I open a browser (IE or FF) it takes 30+ seconds to get to the Google page and 20+ seconds to get to any other page. This all happened after installing SP1 for Windows 7. I had to re load a machine and because of the licensing issue of re-useing the license on the same machine that was re-loaded, I used Microsoft Security Essentials and BOTH IE and FF are working as fast as ever. The only difference is NIS 2011. I have tried tech support, but they want $100 just to talk on the phone and blame Microsoft. I have tried all of the "solutions" I could find on the forum without success.
Does anyone have any ideas why NIS 2011 is slowing down web browsing in Windows & SP1? Or do I just need to find another product?
