Smart Firewall Network Settings Tooltip Displays Raw HTML Tags

In Norton Smart Firewall → Network tab, hovering over the Private/Public network setting displays raw HTML markup (<strong>) instead of formatted text. The tooltip should render the text correctly rather than exposing the HTML tags.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open Norton.

  2. Navigate to Settings → Smart Firewall → Network

  3. Open the Network tab.

  4. Hover over or view the Private/Public network description tooltip.

  5. Observe that <strong> tags are displayed as text.

Expected Result:

“Private network” should appear in bold formatting.

Actual Result:

Raw HTML tags (<strong>) are visible in the tooltip.

Same my side on Windows 10 and 11. Looks like sloppy CSS/HTML code. Using AI gets you this mess.

fwiw ~ my understanding:

This issue is fixed with latest UI release of 1.0.149 . Users need to run LiveUpdate and Restart machine to get the fix applied.

Fixed my side, updated, no restart required for changes to be seen.
