"Smart" Scan - Security or Upsell?

Issue abstract: “Smart” Scan results are outrageous and seem to be more about up-selling new features than reporting real issues on Windows 11 Pro.

Detailed description: For some time, “Smart” Scan results have been outrageous and seem to be more about up-selling new features than reporting real issues on Windows 11 Pro. This behavior is present in all versions of Norton 360 with LifeLock. installed version (App: 26.2.1.10802; Build: 26.2.10802.0). My suspicion of scan results being outrageous is confirmed by diametrically different system status results obtained from other applications, e.g., CCleaner Pro. Bottom line: After being a loyal customer for > 10 years, I’ve lost confidence in Norton 360. Sadly, I’m not unique among Norton 360 customers who have similar experiences.

Norton, are you listening? Do you care about what your customers think?

Product & version number: Norton 360 with LifeLock; 26.2.1.10802

OS details: Windows 11 Pro 64-Bit; OS Build 26200.7922

What is the error message you are seeing? No valid “error” messages, just highly exaggerated system status.

Bonjour @SaltAngl34

How do turn off automatic scan
