The social activity monitoring is no longer working on both my ds and dd's accounts. Both were working fine through August 23, noting my dc's activity on Facebook. We went on vacation and two of the three computers were not used during that time, but all have been used daily since August 31, including time on Facebook. No social activity has been listed since August 23, though the Facebook activity shows up under the All Activity and Web categories. I've checked all settings; everything is turned on and all children are properly set up on their respective computers. The Norton Minder is enabled on all computers. Not sure what caused the change but I'm hoping someone here can give me input to get things up and running again.
Thank you for your reply Syed. I checked the plugin status before I wrote the initial post. The Norton Minder is enabled. We are using only Firefox (ds) and IE (dd). Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Please note that we are able to reproduce the issue you have described. There seems a problem specifically with Facebook. We are working on this issue. We will post here any update in this regard.
I have the same problem. When I go into the AddOn in FireFox, the Options section is grayed out and I cannot select it. I’m sure it’s because my Firefox was updated to 3.5

I just checked my ds's social activity log and it is the same as before - no activity listed (activity shows up on web log and all activity log), but he has been on Facebook today. Any additional suggestions I might try?
Please tell us the Norton Safety Minder Version. You can find it by right clicking on the Norton Safety Minder icon in the System tray and selecting About Norton Safety Minder.
I am in the process of sending you a private message (PM - the yellow envelope in the upper right corner of the forums) with some additional questions about this issue. Thanks!

I have successfully downloaded the latest Norton Safety Minder on two machines and they are working fine, as are the logs. On the third machine, however, not so much luck. I have installed and uninstalled several times and am still dealing with the same problems. I get two Norton Minder icons in the tray and when I click on them they disappear. When I reboot, the same thing happens. In addition, I keep getting a message about a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error having to do with Norton. When this happens, I am sometimes unable to connect to the internet for a period of time. I get a "failure to connect" message Can you please advise? The OS of the comp I'm having trouble with is an XP SP2, if that helps at all.
Avast home free edition is on all three computers using OFN, along with some additional spyware/malware protection. The comp having trouble also has the free version of Online Armour firewall installed.
But this is a new problem. We have had avast all along on all our computers and they have worked fine alongside OFN. They are still working fine on two of them, with no adjustments made. I will go check the web shield on all three but I pretty sure they are on. Why would it have worked before and continue to work on the other two and now, with the downloading of the current Norton Minde, we have this runtime problem? The current Norton Minder was also downloaded onto the other machines and we have had no difficulties (this was the fix for the original problem in this thread - social logging not functioning). Apparently it isn't across the board that avast doesn't work with Norton? Perhaps it has something to do with Online Armour, as that is not on the other machines. Any thoughts?
No, they don't. The one having trouble is a Windows XP pc. One of the others is a 64-bit Vista laptop; the other is a 32-bit Vista laptop. The weird thing is all of them were working smoothly until the social logging glitch. Even then, everything but the social logging was functioning. The latest trouble started with the installation of the current Norton Minder version on the pc. And the logging is still occuring, even when the Minder icon disappears from the tray. Don't know what is causing the runtime errors and subsequent failure to connect with the internet, except that the runtime error says it is associated with the Norton Minder.
