Software Conflict between IOS & 360 VPN unresolved

Since installing IOS 17, I am losing WiFi connectivity when using public unsecure networks. There are constant drop outs with messages saying that my Iphone 14 Pro max is offline. I then found that I am unable to print on my home network using Airprint. The device disconnects once selected, and error messages state failed communication with printer. Apple Diagnostics state that my Iphone hardware is A1. They say that the only fix is to switch off Norton VPN which leaves me vulnerable to malign actors when surfing on public networks. Please can Norton sort this out, Apple say that they are getting 2 Iphone per hour registering this fault. Thats alot of unhappy Norton subscribers. I pay ever increasing amounts to Norton with this new add-on or that, and now I am thinking that paying £180 a year merits a solution NOW... I am not happy.

Have you kept up with the iOS updates to 17.3.1?

To confirm. You do not have any connectivity issues if you turn off the VPN feature? And you are only seeing this issue on unsecure public networks? And you did not see this issue with the iOS 16?

Is your printing issue only at home? If so, you should not need a VPN when on a properly secured home network. So you are good to leave the VPN off at home.

One thing to test is to verify it is the VPN and not the Safe Web feature that is involved here. Next time you are trying to connect to a public network and you see the message, try turning off the Safe Web feature and see if that restores the connection. If not, then turn off the VPN and test again.
