Software Updater doesnt update Zoom

Norton 360 deluxe

  1. The software updater does not update Zoom. It fails. Has failed for a while now. Fails on both pc’s here.
  2. Protection Score still tells me to set up backup and it is already set up.
  3. I click on a alert for protection score and then it shows no updates after but then it comes right back and has a 1 there with that same update. After clicking, it should be gone. So, 3 issues here. Please fix.

Will these aging issues be resolved soon in the next update??

Norton’s Software Update is very bad; there are several programs on my computer that don’t appear in the list.

I believe the Norton database is too weak to support programs.

So far, no solution has been fixed or implemented.

Seems that the Protection score needs to be woken up and takes extra time to update the proper total score.
And Zoom just never can be updated. i see the same thing on multiple PCs.. Windows 10 and 11. And the alert messages sometimes hang around after clicking. That is annoying. It is just not a polished app. Should be tested more thoroughly pre-release. Strange. Norton - please test your product for yourself. After dealing with the annoyances , you will be driven to fix it. Then after that… RELEASE IT. THanks, us.
The Process for Norton software team
1. Use for yourself for a while. Test it. Have some headache medication handy.
2. Fix all the annoying nuisances.
3. Release to customers for use. Do not release first on us to test. That is not fair to the customer.

THis is common sense here. SPend more time on testing please vs speed of release. That will help you and you wont lose as many customers. DO not release with so many bugs.

@gmPro182 Software Updater, as is Driver Updater, recommended NOT TO BE USED or USED AT YOUR OWN RISK. Through the years I have learned the safest and most accurate way to get updates and drivers is directly from the OEM that created it. In today’s world users have become all too dependent on “one click solutions”, that promise the moon and can, leave you having a heart attack in the end. They are all mostly snake oil.

Get Zoom updates by checking the Google Play Store or Apple App Store for updates on mobile. For other devices get the latest here:

On my phone, I always get app updates through Playstore. I dont think Norton mobile does app updates. I am only talking ab PC here. And I am not seeing that Zoom update now. I also tried updating Zoom feom Zoom itself and that didnt even work.

Zoom updating my side is done automatically on PC. These are my settings. I NEVER depend on and don’t suggest using Norton Software Updater or any other third party trash to update my devices. Unless you are running 32 bit Windows which I don’t think you are Zoom should update.

Yeah, the Zoom issue is not an issue anymore. It doesnt show on Norton software updater anymore… and I just ignored the Greenshot one. I tried to update Greenshot myself and it said I had the latest version. Nerd Greenshot bc the snippet tool is kind of lame imo.

One gripe i have is that cases are opened but i get zero follow up and there is no ETA.

Luckily i have solved most by myself. The front line support has a very limited knowledge of this product. It seems that they are not trained very well and provide little help for me. These cases get opened but then just sit there for months, years…with no contact back to me.

Norton needs to communicate with users better. Just open case numbers then disappear. No accountability and no ETA ever. That is not optimal. Leaves users hanging. Fix plz. I am lucky because I dont give up and keepbtrying to solve issues myself. Then I teach others here…including front line level one people.
