software updater failed on 2026-04.NET 8.0.26 Security Update for x64 Client (KB5086096)
I retried several times and keeps failing on windows 11 PC that I support.
Should you not be using Windows Update for that kind of update?
Windows said that all updates were performed after my restart of that machine. I guess i can ignore this then?

bare husk på at den bliver opdateret mega meget i 26.4 der bliver den software opdateren version 2.0 så mange af de fejl der er nu forsvinder der men de retter mange allerede nu det er miner fejl her og der men de fixer flere fejl
ok so you only use it for windows updates. So do you then just update windows using windows updater or do that with the software updater? I think my pc is set for auto-updates. I guess i will ignore this error. Just a nuisance.
jep og lad windows update windows ikke andre det vil jeg gøre hvis jeg var dig du kan disable den unde indstillinger så ser du ikke den mere når windows har opdateret sig selv så vil den også forsvinde der
FWIW!! If Windows updates hasn’t offered this update, ( update history is a good place to see if it has or hasn’t ) the best avenue for .NET itself is here. Not Software Updater or other 3rd party snake oil. Looks like the failed SU entry was the security release described in the article below.

Ok well windows told me the update was successful before i tried the software updater update. i will ignore that one.
