This pertains to those who are having some trouble with NIS 2009/2010. If you are having trouble with NIS working properly you may wish to check the following articles from Micorsoft (one is for those who have Intel processors and the other is for everyone).

Non-Intel article: Security Software & Network Issues. (Was not sure what to title this one)
Each update package must be installed prior to installing XP SP3 but requires XP SP2 to already be installed.
I am doing further research and will post back when I can.
