I use Firefox browser.
Unfortunately I cannot say for sure when it started to occur but it did seem to start after renewing and updating my Norton to '08.
And it only appears when browsing the internet?
you could try another browser
h iA_Aardvarkie - assuming that you have updated everything (OS and Norton-wise - recommend a manual LiveUpdate in case you are missing a non-critical patch) i haven't heard of this one before.
a couple of questions, if i may:
- what OS and Service Pack
- what FFversion and what add-ons are installed (recommend disabling them for testing purposes)
- what affect from browsing via IE or Opera
also, try opening FF in safe mode (http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode) and disable all add-ons. does the problem still occur?

While connected to the internet I keep receiving the error message:
'SONAR Component has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.'
- but sending the usual error report does not provide any response.
What is causing this ?
