Yes. Still. It's good to see other threads addressing concerns about SONAR's bad behaviour. This is just a reminder that the issue I've reported several times (especially during the beta cycle) is still very much current. SoundSpectrum's latest release of SoftSkies is blocked in exactly the same way as earlier reported. This remains an x64 issue. If I was SoundSpectrum I'd be spitting tacks long ago, but they're very nice people and they've taken the approach that Symantec is much more likely to listen to customers. Sadly that's not been the case. Imagine if Microsoft's Security Essentials was blocking Firefox, or (it doesn't bare thinking about) Opera. They would've fixed it very quickly. But here Symantec is a (perhaps the) leader in the field and still no action. It's a likely scenario that the vast majority of people who download trial software from a vendor such as SoundSpectrum do not take it further if Norton blocks the product. Goodness knows how many sales they've lost. For me it's just an annoyance, but a recurring one as SoundSpectrum regularly release updates. Each time I have to restore the scr file from quanantine and allow it. Also a reboot is required (perhaps not, but Norton says it is).
Apart from this issue, I'm very happy with NIS 2010. But it is an issue that should've been fixed long ago.
Regards and a Happy New Year to you all.
