Did a search but could not find any post with a solution, some said they got theirs working correctly but did not post what they did.
Using:
NIS Version: 21.1.0.18
Win XP SP3
Outlook Express 6 (configured for 6 indentities)
Note: had this working fine, until I had to do a complete re-install of OS and NIS
THE PROBLEM:
Have NIS set for Antispam integration for Outlook Express.
NIS is setting random folders as the Antispam folder. A few accounts will align properly with the Norton AntiSpam folder but the others do not; another of my folders will be chosen and this appears to be random, and cannot be change in Message Rules.
What I have tried:
1) In OE message rules, tried to edit/modify the rule NIS created to point to the correct folder, but I am not allowed to Modify the rule (button greyed out), and clicking on the folder shown in the rule description box does not respond, seems to be deactivated.
2) Deactivated NIS AntiSpam protection, then was able to edit the message rule in OE and then choose the proper destination folder for the spam. HOWEVER, after saving new settings in OE, closing OE, then re-activating NIS antispam protection, and then re-opening OE, I find that most of the folder choices have been changed to some random folder again. Also, the added NIS message rule becomes un-editable again. Additionally, NIS did not add the Norton AntiSpam folders if there wasn't one.
3) Variation of steps in #2 where in between activating NIS antispam protection, I manually added the Norton AntiSpam folders, then closed OE, reactivated NIS antispam, reopened OE, only to find that NIS did not use the correct folders in all accounts, and again some of the spam destination folders were random.
4) Similar to #2 and #3 but included system reboot in between clearing OE, and reactivating NIS antispam proctection.
None of the above have worked.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
