Wonder why my NIS spam filter doesn't. I get daily ads from one outfit with no unsubscribe option. They're on my blocked list (many times now) but they keep on comin'
And can't this filter tell that a special sale on Viagra is spam?
When I saw that it compiled an Allowed list from my address book, I hoped it would screen out any sender NOT on that list, as Qurb and CA Spam Filter do.

If I may chime in here, I, too, have noticed a decline in the spam filter’s performance. I’ve been using the most up-to-date version of NIS 2010 since last fall and the filter has typically done an adequate, but not exceptional, job at catching spam. I always provide feedback, clicking on “This is spam” - only to find that a very similar piece of spam is missed shortly afterward. Lately, though, it’s more worrisome that the false positive rate has been increasing: three completely inocuous personal (not commercial) messages incorrectly tagged as spam in just the last few days. Anyone know what’s going on here? I’d hate to have to go back to using an outside filter in addition to NIS. I’m using POP mail via Outlook Express 6, by the way, on an XP system.
The Norton Antispam filter 2010 doesn't work neither on my system, and I still receive emails from Football betting websites that bypass all my settings.
I have played about with the settings over the past year and nothing works, they just bypass all the config filters I have setup.
