I have run into an issue (hoping a small issue) with email. My mother received an email on her account from what appeared to be her email address. She proceeded to open the email which apparently resulted in several people in her address book being sent an email with a link. Some emails appeared in her sent box and some did not.
To make things worse my father received the email from her, opened it and clicked the link. Ahhh!!!
The computer is running Norton Antivirus 11.1.2 (17) along with Norton Firewall & Norton Confidential. I scanned the compter twice with Norton Antivirus and found nothing.
How concerned should I be that a virus or malware made it on to the Mac? What steps should i take? Is there a more powerful scan or something I should look at on the Mac to see if it has been infected?
Please Help!!
