Wondering if there is a way to prevent specific cookies from being swept away during cleanup? My bank & credit card holders require a call to customer service to establish a specific PC's credentials for connecting. If I clean up all 'tracking cookies', I will have to go through this annoying procedure again. At the same time, I don't want to leave unknown tracking cookies hanging around.
Is there a spot to exclude specific cookies from being wiped out?
Thanks for your time.
Hi heyitstodd ,
There is no place in Norton 360 to exclude specific cookie or temporary files that store passwords. Whenever you run Norton 360 cleanup, it will remove all the Temporary files, History, cookies etc from your browser as a part of it's cleanup procedure. When you want to run the scan next time, click Tasks > Run a Scan. Select the option Let me choose, uncheck the options Internet Explorer Temporary Files and Internet Explorer History under PC Tune Up. This will exclude the Internet Explorer settings duing cleanup. Otherwise, you can try using the Identity Safe in Norton 360 to remember the login/passwords instead of the settings in the Internet Explorer.
If you use Mozilla Firefox, click Settings > uncheck Firefox Privacy Cleanup. Here is a similar thread:

Thanks for the information. This makes the temporary files cleanup effectively useless for me, as I am not willing to have to call customer service at the bank each time I want to use the online services.
Is there a place to enter feature requests for the product? I find this limitation to be a regression to about 1998.
Since the final build is already released, I don’t think that you can get a feature enhancement request now. When the BETA of next version -probabily Norton 360 4.0 is due to release, you can find a thread for suggestions and enhancements for the future release. You can post the suggestions/request at that time.
It seems to me that now would actually be the perfect time for feature requests for the next version, as there is not the excuse of the design already being completed. I believe that feature request lists should always be open, as potential customers aren't likely to check back in every couple of weeks to find if they company they might give money to is in the mood to accept input.
I missed this horrible lack of functionality in the beta test because I used the beta on a secondary machine. For now, I'll just continue to use CCleaner for tracks removal.
