Norton Security (17.5.0.127) ran a background scan today and declared splitencoder.dll a Trojan. Has "(Trojan.gen)" after it in the Norton Details. Origin is 4Videosoft Tod/Mod Converter, program has been on my computer since August, but "Trojan" just identified. Norton states I used it on 2/26/2010, though I don't remember that.
Question is.....is it really a Trojan?? I've searched the Symantec web site for splitencoder.dll and gotten no search returns on it. Am wondering if the 4Videosoft program is now trashed, but not sure whether to launch it. TIA for any info/advice.
