Sqlite3 in Mac Trash

My Mac is Early 2008 and can't upgrade to High Sierra.  I am running OS X El Capitan, Version 10.11.6

Model Name:    iMac (24-inch, Early 2008)
Processor Name:    Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed:    2.8 GHz
ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro 256 MB

My trash keeps filling up with folders called "Database" and contain Database.sqlite3 and Database.sqlite3-journal

I've seen other threads that have been closed that all refer to Norton as the cause because the problem goes away when Norton is removed.  I don't use Safari for web browsing.

The issue still may not be related to Norton. I found a couple of search results on this issue. You may find more.
